We are still hot off the trails from iPhone 7, but we know that Apple is working hard on the new iPhone 8. So, what can we expect from the new model this year?
This year marks the 10th anniversary, since the introduction of the original iPhone (or as many call it, the iPhone 2G). After that, we had a new model (or models each year) including iPhone 3G, iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE and now the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
Our insiders speculate that the new iPhone 8 will be like nothing we have ever seen. Apple wants to make a big splash for the milestone of 10 years, so great things await us. Let’s start! We will discuss iPhone 8 features, iPhone 8 launch and have some pretty interesting iPhone 8 insights!
The new iPhone 7 disappointed many people, as it had the last years design and not many new changes. The reason for this is that Apple holds its best cards for the next iPhone 8, which will bring some big changes. We have conflicting information in several aspects, but the one thing that most agree on is that the screen will change from an IPS technology to an AMOLED or even OLED. This would enable the phone to have darker blacks, more contrast and even brighter color under direct sunlight.
OLED is making a big splash in the TV industry, where LG implements it in the most high-end models. Recently, Apple introduced a smaller OLED screen in the new Macbook Pro, which is right above the keyboard. The company transfers technologies between devices.
The screen sizes will remain the same (4.7 inch and a 5.5 inch model), as well as the used materials. This means the phone will be a combination of aluminium and glass. Many sources expect the phone to have only a display on the front side, which would be awesome. However, we are unsure that this will happen.
The screen will expand on the entire front part, and the Home button will become a virtual one. Also, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will have haptic feedback technology. This would make the iPhone 8 one of the most beautiful smartphones on the market!
One phone with a screen almost all over the body is Mi Mix, from Xiaomi. So, if a Chinese company can do it, what would stop Apple?
iPhone 8 Plus

You don’t have to worry about performance if you buy the iPhone 8 or the iPhone 8 Plus. The phones will have the next-generation Apple AX1 (or Apple A11) chipset. This will be accompanied with 4GB of RAM and a storage space of minimum 32GB. The storage sadly won’t be expandable via a MicroSD card. The processor will have 4 high performing cores. Also, maybe we will see a co-processing unit which would handle the simpler tasks and save battery life. As usual, we expect the phone to run over the competition in benchmarks, as well as real-life use. Although, there are many Android phones with larger RAM (6GB or 8GB), iPhone never had a problem in this area. The software, iOS, is expertly optimized to make use of the available resources.
The iPhone 8 camera on the back is expected to be the same for both phones, where they would get a bump in resolution with a 20MP sensor, with Optical Image Stabilization and a dual-tone LED flash. We expect Apple to impress us here. The most important area of improvement would be shooting at night or low-light, something that is still a problem with any smartphone.
Or maybe, Apple will partner with some other major brand, such as Nikon or Cannon, and bring us something we have never seen?
The price would remain the same – 649 dollars for the standard version of iPhone 8 with 32GB of storage. The standard version of iPhone 8 Plus with 32GB of storage will cost 769 dollars. Remember, we get more storage for the same price – so we can’t complain. Although, the price will vary between different countries, usually being most expensive in Brazil.
Again, we expect Apple to follow tradition. This means the new models would be presented this fall. More specifically on the 8th of September. This is a guess by our insiders at the company. Two weeks later, the phones will be available in selected countries all over the world.
